Bernd Oliver Christiansen shapes and directs the Citrix SaaS SMB Division's technology vision and strategy and leads the company’s research into new products and technologies. Bernd was a co-founder of Expertcity, the organization that became the SaaS SMB Division after its 2004 acquisition by Citrix and was the first to deliver remote desktop access and remote support as a service.
Bernd has been a key architect behind the technology powering the award-winning GoTo services and has been granted numerous patents on our SaaS core technology. Furthermore, Bernd is deeply involved with strategic acquisitions. Previously, he worked on industrial projects for Deutsche Aerospace, Daimler Benz Aerospace and GMD. He holds a PhD in computer science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has been awarded a prestigious fellowship from the German Academic Exchange Service.
