George Ban-Weiss is an assistant professor in the Astani Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Southern California. He leads a research group that uses numerical models and field observations in concert to investigate local solutions for countering the impacts of climate change while reducing public exposure to air pollutants. His past work has contributed to both environmental policy changes and advancement of fundamental climate science. He received bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
