Hui Wu is an associate professor in the school of materials science and engineering at Tsinghua University in China. His research interests include applications of nanomaterials for energy storage, photovoltaics, optoelectronics and flexible electronics. He has been an author or co-author of more than 60 papers published in jornals such as Nature Chemistry, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials and the Journal of the American Chemical Society. He was selected for the Chinese government's Thousand Talents Program for Distinguished Young Scholars and received the National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award. He received both a bachelor's degree in polymer science and a Ph.D. in materials science from Tsinghua University, where his research focused on the chemical synthesis and physical properties of functional polymer and ceramic nanofibers. He was also a postdoctoral research fellow at Stanford University.
