Quoc Le is a research scientist at Google Brain, where he works on large-scale deep learning. He led the team that simulated a neural network that learned the concept of "cat" by watching YouTube videos. His work has made breakthroughs in object recognition, speech recognition and language understanding. He was a researcher at National ICT Australia, Microsoft Research, and the Max Planck Institute of Biological Cybernetics. He received an undergraduate degree with first-class honors at the Australian National University, where he was named a Distinguished Scholar, and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
