Rumi Chunara is an instructor at Harvard Medical School and Children’s Hospital Boston. Her research focuses on harnessing novel information sources and developing the appropriate computational techniques to use the data to improve population public health. She received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Caltech, a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT and a Ph.D. in electrical and medical engineering from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. She received the MIT Presidential Fellowship and a Caltech Merit Scholarship and has obtained clinical experience at hospitals in Pakistan, Kenya, and the United States.
